  • Day 1 Arrival in Lahinch

    From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the journey to Lahinch.

  • Day 2 Lahinch to Doolin

    17.4 Miles / 28 Km 6-8 Hrs 200 Metres

    Your walking tour starts with a relaxing stroll down the beautiful beach at Lahinch. The trail then leads around Liscannor Bay and up to the southern end of the world famous Cliffs of Moher. From here, you have breath-taking views of the cliffs rising vertically more than 200m from the sea. For the next 10km you will follow one of the most spectacular cliff paths in Europe until you come to the small village of Doolin, renowned for live Irish music.

  • Day 3 Doolin to Ballyvaughan

    16.8 Miles / 27 Km 6-8 Hrs 300 Metres

    You have the opportunity to visit Doolin Cave and the Great Stalactite before making your way through the quiet farm lands near Lisdoonvarna. The trail then climbs up to the side of Slieve Elva from where you can enjoy some last views across the Atlantic before crossing into the Caher Valley. Another ridge brings you into the fertile Rathborney River Valley. After passing the 16th century Newtown Castle you cross through fields and woodland before arriving in Ballyvaughan, your stop for the night.

  • Day 4 Ballyvaughan to Carran

    14.9 Miles / 24 Km 5-7 Hrs 350 Metres

    After retracing your steps to the Gleninagh Valley there is a lot to see today! After crossing thyrough a mystical limestone landscape, you’ll suddenly find yourself in an Irish bog! But don’t fear, you will soon be walking between stone walled fields and passing ancient celtic monuments. You’ll also have the chance to visit a sheep dog demonstration and a 6,000 year old dolmen before making your way to your B&B near the largest seasonal lake in north-west Europe.

  • Day 5 Carran to Corofin

    16.2 Miles / 26 Km 5-7 Hrs 200 Metres

    After a visit to a romantic hidden chapel you will soon be surrounded by wilderness on this remotest part of our Burren Tours. The trail then takes you above the Castletown River and onwards past spectacular ringforts and magical portal tombs – through enchanted woodlands and around the beautiful Inchiquin Lough, before arriving at Corofin.

  • Day 6 Departure from Corofin

    There is a regular bus service from Corofin to Ennis and from there to Dublin, Limerick and Shannon. Full details provided upon booking.
