  • Day 1 Arrival in Tinahely

From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the journey to Tinahely.

  • Day 2 Tinahely - Iron Bridge

    12.4 Miles / 20 Km 5-7 Hrs 550 Metres

A gentle climb leads you out of the village to rejoin the Wicklow Way underneath Ballycumber Hill. After passing an ancient ringfort, the route skirts the tiny village of Moyne before heading into dense woodland around Ballygobban Mountain. A descent into the Ow River Valley brings you to Iron Bridge.

  • Day 3 Iron Bridge - Glendalough

    19.3 Miles / 31 Km 7-10 Hrs 800 Metres

After a transfer to Iron Bridge you climb towards the forested summit of Carrickashane Mountain. From the old military road, built after the Irish rebellion of 1798, the route leads through forests onto the shoulder of Slieve Maan before descending to the crossroads at Glenmalure. A gradual ascent through the forests above the valley of Glenmalure is followed by a short, steep climb to Lugduff Gap. You then descend into Glendalough via the route along the Spinc and the Glenealo Valley, which often offer spectacular views.

  • Day 4 Glendalough - Enniskerry

    16.2 or 18 Miles / 26 or 29 Km 7-10 Hrs 950/1250 Metres

After crossing the Glenmacnass River you make your way up Paddock Hill then down into Oldbridge. If the weather is good, take the opportunity to climb Scarr Mountain (641m). After Roundwood you pass above iconic Lough Tay, the famous Guinness Lake and setting for many movies and TV series. Climb up to White Hill and around the bulk of Djouce mountain before descending past Powerscourt Waterfall into Crone Woods. A short transfer will bring you to your B&B.

  • Day 5 Departure from Enniskerry

There is a regular bus service from Enniskerry to Dublin City. We will be happy to provide you with further details upon request.
