DAY 1: Arrival in Rathdrum
From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the journey to Rathdrum.
DAY 2: Iron Bridge - Laragh
29km (31km via Spinc) • 7 - 9 hours • (↑) 800m
The trail now climbs steeply upwards to Borenacrow Saddle. The scenery here is stunning in all directions. From the saddle, you can choose to descend into Glendalough either along the Wicklow Way or by taking one of the beautiful route options via the Spinc with its great views.
DAY 3: Laragh - Enniskerry
26km (29km via Scarr) • 7 - 9 hours • (↑) 950/1250m
After crossing the Glenmacnass River you make your way up Paddock Hill then down into Oldbridge. If the weather is good, take the opportunity to climb Scarr Mountain (641m).
Another short climb takes you past Powerscourt Waterfall on your right before you head down into Crone Woods.
DAY 4: Enniskerry - Marlay Park, Dublin
22km • 5 - 7 hrs • (↑) 570m
After passing around the side of Knockree Hill, you climb up and over the shoulder of a mountain known as Prince William's Seat. Take a last look back at the Wicklow Mountains before your tour ends on a lovely trail through Marlay Park.
DAY 5: Departure from Departure from Enniskerry / Dublin
There are regular bus and train services from Enniskerry and south Dublin to Dublin City Centre and to Dublin Airport. We will be happy to provide further details upon request.
