Camille grew up in a small village in the heart of the French Alps between Chamonix and Annecy. From a young age, she used to spend her holidays climbing up the mountain paths in the summer and riding down the hills with her skis during the winter. Living in one of the most touristic regions of France, she naturally focused her studies in Tourism Management. She wanted to show the wonders of her region to the whole world! During her studies Camille got the opportunity to work in Switzerland, England, Denmark and in the Netherlands. After graduating, Camille was keen for new adventures and chose to discover Ireland, attracted by the amazing landscape and the renowned traditional Irish music. Camille has now been in Ireland for 4 years now and she loves it!
As Region Specialist for England and the Camino de Santiago, Camille is in direct contact with our customers and our suppliers. She loves nothing more than reading the wonderful comments from our walkers after their tour and looking at the beautiful memories they documented on camera during their tour! Another aspect of her role is also to help her co-workers to ensure they provide the best information to our customers. Every day brings a new challenge, and this is why she loves working at Hillwalk Tours!
During her spare time, Camille loves enjoying the great outdoors. When she goes back to France, she never misses the opportunity to spend few days wandering in her beloved mountains. Having a dad who is a chef, Camille is also a “foodie” and loves trying out new food and discovering new little gems. This is also what she loves about Galway, the food scene there is sizzling!
