Darina grew up in County Mayo in the West of Ireland and spent her childhood summers exploring the beauty of Connemara and the Aran Islands. She has amazing memories of climbing Dun Aengus on Inis Mor and exploring the amazing hillfort. Her love of travel was also sparked by family holidays in France visiting the prehistoric caves at Lascaux and the famous Mont St. Michel.
After college Darina spent 2 years teaching English in Poland which gave her the opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape and go skiing (or really falling down a lot) for the first time in the Zakopane mountains. She returned to Galway and continued to work with students from all over the world coming to Ireland to learn English. During this time she also had the opportunity to travel to many European destinations which led to a growing interest in working to help people organise great holidays.
As Customer Experience Manager, Darina looks after queries from colleagues and suppliers about the tours across the trails. She also books tours in all regions and helps customers prepare for their trip on one of our fabulous itineraries. Helping people plan the best experience possible is her main priority and she loves interacting with customers from all over the world.
Outside of work Darina loves cooking for her family and attempting to master the perfect banana bread. She makes time to walk the Prom in Salthill every day to let the sea breeze blow away the cobwebs and loves nothing better in the winter than coming home to curl up with a good book (and large hot chocolate) by the fire. Her interest in travel continues and she loves researching the next holiday destination 😊
