Eimear hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland and reckons this is where she learnt to rely on her intuition and instinct! As a child she enjoyed family holidays in Europe and two months every summer running wild in Narin, Donegal; a place she still returns to every year. She was always encouraged to follow her curiosity and love of travel and at an early age headed off to find her way. She studied in London and then continued her education in Boston before settling and working for a number of years in NYC. During this time she travelled across the States but always found time for the sun spots; Bermuda and the Keys amongst her favourites. Eventually making her way back to Ireland, Eimear settled in Galway (because she could live by the sea) and found her ideal company, Hillwalk Tours.
While officially Eimear is our Head of Human Resources, in reality she says she’s our unofficial lawyer, diplomat, teacher, psychologist, counsellor, recruiter, event planner and peace-maker 😊. She’s passionate about employee wellness and creating a positive work environment, so chances are, those calm and happy employees you connect with, have just finished a yoga session or had a massage!
When not at work, Eimear morphs into Mom, so you’re as likely to see her pitch-side at Gaelic football, hockey or soccer matches, or flying around in her car doing drop offs and pick-ups. Her “me-time” is spent doing yogalates and walking (if it’s not raining), and enjoying time and wine with family and good friends! Eimear still loves to travel and never far from her mind is, where to next?
