We are passionate about walking and have created this London on foot: 5 unique city walks guide to help highlight some of the great walks around London. In a city the size of London it is tempting to take the tube, but sometimes it is much more rewarding to traverse London on foot. Walking in London can take you though the natural parks, past the highlights of the main city attractions and you can follow the footsteps of historical figures. Put on your walking shoes and choose your favorite from these 5 unique city walks through London!

Little Venice to Camden Lock

Distance: 2.5 miles (4 km)
Route: Little Venice to Camden Lock

The Jubilee Greenway is a 37 mile (60 km) route through the heart of London. The city walk is divided into ten sections, each with their own points of interest along the way. The stretch from Little Venice to Camden Lock runs along the atmospheric Regent’s Canal and straight through Regent’s Park. Enjoy the cute houseboats in Little Venice, visit the London Zoo in Regent’s Park and end in the ever-bustling Camden Town. Treat yourself at one of the international street food stalls in Camden Lock market.

Hampstead Heath – Walking in the Wild

Distance: 1.5 – 6 miles (2.5 – 10 km)

Free of exhaust fumes and tourist hordes, this London walk takes in panoramic views of the British capital’s concrete jungle from the natural hills of Hampstead Heath. It is one of the largest green areas in London and is filled with forests, hills and meadows. The sprawling park is the ideal place to get away from the busy streets and noisy London Underground. Three walking routes of varying distances and levels are color-coded, but feel free to explore Hampstead Heath on your own. Time for a break? Admire the art collection in the stately Kenwood House.

This city walk through London is like traveling back in time. Follow the remains of the Roman city wall, which was the main feature of the city from the year 200 onwards. Explore London on foot, learning about the history of the city and its position in the Roman Empire as you go. This city walk takes you past original parts of the wall, remains of watchtowers and an extensive museum about the London Tower.

Route: Along the southern banks of the Thames
