Wicklow Way Hiking Trail in Glendalough

DAY 1: Arrival in Tinahely

From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the journey to Tinahely.

DAY 2: Tinahely - Iron Bridge

21km • 4 - 6 hours • (↑) 400m

Starting off on a grass track around Coolafunshoge Mountain, the route skirts the tiny village of Moyne before heading into dense woodland around Ballygobban Mountain. A descent into the Ow River Valley brings you down to Iron Bridge.

DAY 3: Iron Bridge - Laragh

29km (31km via Spink) • 7 - 9 hours • (↑) 800m

The trail now climbs steeply upwards to Borenacrow Saddle. The scenery here is stunning in all directions. From the saddle, you can choose to descend into Glendalough either along the Wicklow Way or to take the longer, but arguably more beautiful route via the Spink.
