Imagine Life On Hadrian’s Wall in 200 AD…
Harsh winters in the north of England. Uncomfortable living conditions. Communal toilets. Marauding Scotsmen coming over the border trying to kill you... The life of a Roman soldier was far from glamorous!
Thankfully, a lot has changed in the last 1,800 years or so. The winters are still harsh but our self-guided Hadrian’s Wall Path walking tours run from April to October so that won’t bother you.
As for the living conditions, your comfort is very important to us. To this end, we’ve personally visited and rated more than 60 B&Bs and Inns along Hadrian’s Wall. If possible, book early so we can pick the very best ones for your England walking trip.
I guess that just leaves the communal toilets and the Scotsmen… Well, private bathrooms at each accommodation takes care of the toilets but you’ll just have to take your chances if you meet any Scotsmen ;-)
Remember, it’s your holiday. Your job is to relax and enjoy yourself. Let us take care of the details.
