Peter Duggan Hillwalk Tours

Peter is originally from Cork city but now lives in Dublin. Growing up in the “real capital” he was always interested in business and politics and is a graduate of UCC. An opportunity arose for Peter to work in a team developing a local newspaper which he jumped at. This is how he began in the graphic design industry. He later worked in publishing and design studios broadening his skills from print to web, video and online advertising. As technology became more prevalent in his work he studied for a technology management degree and later gained a Masters from DCU in that area.

Peter spends as much time as he can in a coastal house by the Kenmare River which is close to the Kerry Way. Seeing how important tourism is to local communities on the Ring of Kerry working for Hillwalk Tours allows Peter to contribute to the development of the rural economy which is so dependent on visitors. He also likes working in a company focused on positive experiences especially those based on outdoor adventures.

As our Marketing Manager, Peter is responsible for overseeing our marketing campaigns and events, managing our brand identity and ensuring we craft engaging content for our customers. He has over 15 years of experience in the field, working with clients from various industries and sectors. Peter leads our team of talented and creative marketers who are focused on creating engaging and impactful content that showcases our hiking trails.

Outside of work Peter likes to play board games with his wife and family, collects French graphic novels and helps with the coaching in his local hurling club. He likes to stay active by cycling and running and is also a keen sea swimmer when in Kerry. He can sometimes be seen paddle boarding between Castlecove and Sneem, weather permitting. He still hasn’t decided which has been the best decade for popular music but his guilty pleasure is nerding out on documentaries and old concerts in an effort to find out.
