Rebekka grew up bilingual in a little village near Munich in Bavaria, South Germany, spending most of her time on her nanny’s farm and outdoors. From an early age she fell in love with Ireland and the beautiful landscapes of the country. Most of all, the kindness and hospitality of Irish people impressed her and it was her dream to move to Ireland at some stage of her life which came true when she met her Irish husband. Organising trips for family and friends to Ireland became her own little trademark and so the position at Hillwalk Tours was the perfect opportunity to bring all her past travel and work experience in the tourism industry together!
As Customer Experience Manager, Rebekka looks after queries from colleagues and suppliers about the tours across the trails. She also books tours in all regions and helps German and English-speaking customers prepare for their trip on one of our fabulous itineraries. Interacting and being able to help customers is what she loves the most, so you’re in safe hands!
In her spare time, Rebekka enjoys singing in the Galway Gospel Choir, going on road trips and walks along the Wild Atlantic Way, visiting different cities in Europe and cheering on her favourite soccer club Bayern Munich (best team ever!). By baking various types of German breads and baked goods (lecker😍), she is not only keeping up her Bavarian roots, which are very important to her, but also creating happy tasting experiences for everyone in the office (sometimes)!
