Sam Ferry Hillwalk Tours

Sam is from a small idyllic town called Gaoth Dobhair in the North-West of Donegal in Ireland. Much like the routes of Hillwalk Tours, it is full of invigorating hiking trails and stunning coastlines. Sam moved to the energetic city of Galway to study a bachelor’s degree in the subjects of Economics and Sociology. Upon graduating, Sam spent some time working in seasonal hospitality in France and greatly enjoyed the chance to learn snowboarding in the French Alps as well as spending a summer in the peaceful farmlands of the Loire Valley. Having recently returned to Galway, Sam jumped at the chance to work for Hillwalk Tours as it provides a great opportunity to further his career in tourism.

Sam is a Customer Experience Associate here at Hillwalk Tours. He is responsible for curating the walking packs, which are an essential tool in our customers’ experience, as well as replying to customer inquiries about different aspects of our tours. Sam enjoys helping customers get the most out of their tour and keeping in touch with them to ensure they are enjoying themselves. Sam is quite sociable, which is important, as his main role is connecting with customers.

Sam loves to keep active, so he’s always on the move. Most evenings, you can find him in the gym either on the treadmill or doing laps in the pool. He also loves to travel and is already planning his next ski trip to the Alps. He enjoys the social aspect of living in Galway, and on the weekends, he makes sure to get out of the house, whether it’s at a live music gig or a football match.
