The trail winds through enchanting eucalyptus and ancient oak forests, weaving past lush farmland and charming Galician villages adorned with rustic stone houses and hórreos. A rewarding climb to Alto do Mar de Ovellas offers breathtaking panoramic views that stretch across rolling hills. The journey then descends to the stunning medieval bridge of Ponte Maceira, a picture-perfect spot where a 14th-century stone arches span the sparkling Tambre River beside a quaint mill and cascading weir. Finally, a peaceful, gentle ascent through serene woodland guides you into the town of Negreira—an ideal place to rest and soak in the magic of Galicia.

  • Day 3 Negreira - Santa Mariña

Today’s hike leads into quieter, more remote countryside, with a steady sense of solitude building throughout the day. Though not steep, the trail includes long continuous climbs that make it more challenging than it first appears. You’ll pass fields edged with stone walls, scattered farms, and peaceful woodland paths—an undemanding pace is key as you settle into the rhythm of the trail.

  • Day 4 Santa Mariña - Hospital

    11 miles / 18 Km 4-6 Hrs 660 ft / 200 Metres

This stage begins with a rewarding climb to the shoulder of Monte Aro (556 m), the highest point on the Camino Finisterre, where sweeping views reveal the quiet beauty of rural Galicia. The trail descends through patchwork fields to the charming village of Olveiroa, known for its traditional stone houses and iconic hórreos. From there, a wonderfully scenic stretch unfolds through tranquil woodland and rolling hills, leading to the peaceful hamlet of Hospital—an idyllic and restorative place to end the day.

  • Day 5 Hospital - Cee

    9.5 miles / 15 Km 4-6 Hrs 330 ft / 100 Metres

This stage offers a memorable transition from inland hills to the Atlantic coast. The trail leaves Hospital with a gentle climb through remote moorland and forest, passing small chapels like Nosa Señora das Neves and San Pedro Mártir—both sites of local devotion and pilgrimage. At the Cruceiro da Armada, the ocean comes into view in a breathtaking moment. A dramatic descent through pine forest leads to Cee, a lively coastal town nestled beside the sparkling estuary.

This final stage is a truly rewarding coastal walk, filled with moments of reflection and beauty. The trail leaves Cee along quiet lanes and rises gently through pine forest to reveal stunning views of the Atlantic. Passing through the seaside village of Corcubión and the peaceful hamlets of Amarela and Sardiñeiro, the path winds above golden beaches before the iconic lighthouse of Cape Finisterre comes into view—marking the symbolic end of the journey at the “End of the World.”
