Day 1 Arrival in Liscannor
From your point of arrival, use the public transport information we provide to make the journey to Liscannor.

Day 2 Cliffs of Moher Discovery Day
While a section of the Cliffs of Moher Trail is currently closed, we have put together a Cliffs of Moher Discovery Day for you to make sure you still get the best experience of this famous location. In the morning, we arrange a transfer to the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre. There you can explore the most famous 1.5km section of the path and enjoy breath-taking views of the cliffs that rise vertically more than 200m from the sea. After another short transfer, you hike the last 5km of the trail with fabulous sea views to the small village of Doolin, renowned for live Irish music. After your hike, we then arrange for you to explore the Cliffs of Moher from below on a Cliffs of Moher Cruise along the Atlantic coastline from Doolin.

Day 3 Doolin to Fanore
11.2 Miles / 18 Km 4-6 Hrs 250 MetresYou have the opportunity to visit Doolin Cave and the Great Stalactite before making your way through the quiet farm lands near Lisdoonvarna. After a gentle climb up the side of Slieve Elva you can enjoy great views of the Atlantic coast and towards the Aran Islands. You’ll end this day near the beautiful beach of Fanore from where a short transfer will bring you to your accommodation in Doolin.
Please note that this day includes several kilometres of walking along quiet country roads. -
Day 4 Black Head Loop
11.2 Miles / 18 Km 4-6 Hrs 500 MetresTransfer to Fanore in the morning where an ancient ‘Green Road’ brings you to lonely Black Head with splendid views over Galway Bay. The route continues on a narrow trail along cliffs before it joins an old Mass Path, leading into the fertile Gleninagh Valley. After passing an impressive Celtic stone fort, you descend towards the Caher River and return to Fanore past a deserted village and through the ‘Khyber Pass’. A short transfer will return you to your accommodation in Doolin.
Although this walking tour as a whole is classed as 'Moderate', this particular hike is 'Challenging'. -
Day 5 Fanore to Ballyvaughan
13 or 16.2 Miles / 21 or 26 Km 5-7 Hrs 250 MetresTransfer to Fanore in the morning where an ancient ‘Green Road’ brings you to lonely Black Head with splendid views over Galway Bay. The route continues on a narrow trail along cliffs before it joins an old Mass Path, leading into the fertile Gleninagh Valley. After passing the 16th century Newtown Castle you cross through fields and woodland before arriving in Ballyvaughan, your stop for the night.

Day 6 Ballyvaughan to Carran
11.2 Miles / 18 Km 4-6 Hrs 275 MetresA lot to see today! After crossing through a mystical limestone landscape, you’ll suddenly find yourself in an Irish bog. But don’t fear, you will soon be walking between stone walled fields and passing ancient celtic monuments. You’ll also have the chance to visit sheep dog demonstrations and a 6,000 year old dolmen before returning to Ballyvaughan by taxi.

Day 7 Departure from Ballyvaughan
There is a regular bus service from Ballyvaughan to Galway and from there to Dublin, Limerick and Shannon. Full details provided upon booking.
