Born in Galway City, as a child I would spend each summer exploring towns across Ireland but as a family we would always return to Connemara. Once I started working, I would save and visit countries in Europe for the weekend where I fell in love with travelling. After studying Business at ATU Galway I worked in retail for several years before I spent 3 months traveling around Asia visiting Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan. After traveling, I fell into customer service, but I knew I wanted to work for a company that really valued their employees and customers. The core values of Hillwalk Tours were a key factor in my decision to apply for this role.
I work as a Customer Experience Associate for Hillwalk Tours. I work closely with customers, helping them plan their perfect tour. I enjoy communicating with walkers from the first point of contact, during the booking process and hearing how they got on after their tour is finished. I love recommending local pubs and businesses to try along their trail. I communicate with our customers and suppliers via email and phone as well as assembling and getting each Walking Pack sent to our walkers from our office.
I enjoy exploring the food scene in Galway and trying all the new coffee spots that pop up. I love how there is always something on like The Galway Arts Festival and Film Fleadh. I love planning events and parties for my friends like birthdays and hen party’s or any excuse I can find to plan an event! My favourite thing to do after work is head to the cinema or more recently having a go at playing darts. When I visit home, I spend as much time as I can with my dog Alfie!
