Raised in a small town surrounded by Germany’s Palatinate Forest, Susanne developed an early love for nature and adventure. Her curiosity to explore new places and cultures grew into a lifelong passion for travel, leading her to study and work in several different cities across Germany, Austria, the UK, and the Netherlands. She added even more colour to her travel journal with backpacking trips through Asia and Australia. Ireland’s dramatic landscapes and welcoming spirit eventually drew her in. She now calls County Limerick home — just a stone’s throw from the Kerry border, surrounded by peaceful countryside and plenty of great walking routes! With a background shaped by international experiences and a passion for helping others explore, joining Hillwalk Tours felt like the perfect fit.
As a Customer Experience Specialist, Susanne is one of the friendly voices at Hillwalk Tours, helping customers feel confident and cared for from the moment they start planning their walking holiday. Whether she’s coordinating accommodation, answering questions, or fine-tuning itineraries, she’s all about the thoughtful touches that make a difference.
When she’s off the clock, Susanne loves being outdoors — cycling and jogging the local Greenway or strolling along the Wild Atlantic Way beaches. She’s a passionate cook who enjoys browsing farmers’ markets and creating new dishes. As a diverse music fan, she’s always up for a live gig, whether it’s a local session or a weekend trip to watch a band abroad. The Irish winter evenings are reserved for cosy fires, good movies, and cuddles with her dog, Murphy.
