Rhiannon was born and bred in Auckland, New Zealand. She spent much of her early years playing outside, be it at the local park or in the mountains, beach and bush. These early experiences fostered a love of the outdoors in Rhiannon, which resulted in her predominantly planning her travels around getting into nature and undertaking many tramping (hillwalking/hiking), camping and sailing trips throughout New Zealand and further afield. Following the recent completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Politics, Rhiannon moved to a small rural village in East Galway, where she has fully embraced country life.
Joining Hillwalk Tours as a Customer Experience Specialist has allowed Rhiannon to combine her experience in customer support with her passion for walking and the outdoors. Rhiannon enjoys being a part of helping to create amazing experiences for customers, while learning and sharing about all of the wonderful things to see and do along the way. She’s happy tackling the logistics that come with planning multi-day walking trips and taking care of the details so that the customer can focus on having a great time. The Hillwalk Tours team offers a welcoming and friendly environment, in which Rhiannon is delighted to have joined.
In her spare time Rhiannon has an eclectic variety of interests including running, knitting, reading, swimming, sailing, cooking/baking, going to gigs and of course getting onto the trails whenever possible! Most recently she has taken on the somewhat ambitious task of creating a large vegetable garden and is most often found endlessly watering, weeding and sowing in the hope of success!
