Voor onze tweede boeking via Hillwalk Tours kozrn we Hadrian’s Wall. Alles was weer tot in de puntjes geregeld. Informatie voor, tijdens en na de trip kan bijna niet completer en alle feedback wordt enorm gewaardeerd. Voor ons geen twijfel waar we onze volgende wandelvakantie boeken.
We walked the Rota Vicentina - Fisherman's trail (Portugal) early May this year. I highly recommend Hillwalk Tours for their organization, documentation and for offering different options: gentle - moderate or challenging. I choose the gentle tour and it was excellent. Accommodation was generally great and all transfers were respected and on time. Also, the after hours assistance responded instantly and solved an issue within minutes.
Will use them in the future with my eyes closed.

We were very pleased with all the steps of Hillwalk Tour’s customer support before and during our trip. The payment process, the hiking packet, luggage transfer and the B&B selections were outstanding! They were also price competitive. We will definitely book with them again!
We have booked the 10-day Rob Roy Way walk through HillWalk for late April/early May. Last year we walked Hadrian’s Wall, which we booked through a different provider. This meant we could make a direct comparison: in advance, we received comprehensive documentation about the walk and our accommodation. We also received premium access to the Hiker app, which already included the entire route, including possible additional trips.
All the accommodation was clean and, in some cases, had been recently renovated. All the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us extra tips on the surrounding area or alternative starting points for the Rob Roy Way. At one accommodation, we were served an excellent dinner (we had been notified of this in advance by email, including the menu).
The luggage transport was excellent; our suitcases were always waiting for us at the accommodation.
On one section, we were picked up at the end of the hike and driven back to our accommodation, then taken back to the start of our hike the following day. It all worked out perfectly.
We felt completely at ease on the hike; everything was very well organised.
All the accommodation was clean and, in some cases, had been recently renovated. We have just completed our second hiking tour with Hillwalk Tours, the St Cuthbert’s Way, after the Hadrian's Wall hike last year. We are now in the process of booking our next tour in the Cotswolds with them for this summer. That says it all !

Einfache Buchung über die Homepage, perfekte Organisation der Reise und des Gepäcktransfers und liebevoll ausgesuchte B&B's. Sogar an eine Tischreservierung fürs Abendessen war gedacht. Habe eine 5-tägige moderate Tour von Tralee nach Dingle gebucht. Alles wurde perfekt organisiert, immer erreichbar, Fragen wurden teilweise direkt telefonisch geklärt. Our hike on the West Highland Way, organized and facilitated by Hillwalk Tours, was exceptional. The team was very responsive to every question and query we made. I chose the 9-day gentle hike, which had us walking for a total of 7 days. I'm 69 years old and in pretty good shape, but with two hip replacements, I was a little concerned beforehand that I would not be able to keep up. But I did great and got stronger with each day of hiking. I hiked with my son and it was just a thrilling thing to do together. The hike itself was magical and all of the bookings and details were handled expertly by the staff. The B&Bs and hotels were all lovely. The route notes were extremely helpful and informative. And the provided access to the Hiiker app gave us an added sense of security. Everything unfolded beautifully and we are already planning our next hike. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I have booked a walking tour with Hillwalk Tours for the third time, and there will certainly be a fourth time. Why? I can choose a tailor-made walk: the difficulty of the trek, the number of days, and the date I want to start. The Tours are wonderfull, with amazing vieuws in Nature. The B&Bs are all excellent, offering a warm welcome, a beautiful room, and a good breakfast. Luggage and any taxi transport are also well organized. Furthermore, I find the contact with the staff very pleasant, and the information about the trip is very clear and comprehensive.

The South West Coast Path from Padstow to St. Ives, 10 days walking on a moderate tour. Beautiful! Everything was very good organized by Hillwalk tours ( baggage, taxiś to bring us back and foward to our accommondation when there was nothing suitable along the trail) We loved it!! This was the second time we did a Hillwalk tour, in 2024 we did Hadrianś wall Path and because we had a great experience back then so we decided to go again. Highly recommended! Hillwalk tours is the best!

Hillwalk was wonderful on our West Highland Way walk… from route notes, to baggage transfers, to accommodations. Everything was so smooth and easy. Highly recommend!
This was our second hiking trip with Hillwalk Tours and it will not be our last. The B&Bs selected for us were all comfortable and cozy, with friendly hosts and hearty breakfasts to start us on our 14- to 17-kilometer hikes each day. If you are lucky enough to stay at Mansewood Country House, pre-book the evening meal - you will not regret it.
Do not underestimate the sections from Killin to Ardeonaig and from Acharn to Aberfeldy. They are tough and if the weather is changeable (it is Scotland) you could have icy winds, sunshine, rain as well as hail - all within an hour. Be grateful that Hillwalk Tours arranges a driver so that you aren’t hiking along the narrow road from Ardeonaig to Acharn, too.
Overall, everything that Hillwalk Tours planned went perfectly. I’m already thinking about next year’s trip!

Our first-ever inn-to-inn hike, and we’re completely smitten with the Cotswold Way.
Winding through rolling hills, wildflower meadows, breezy woodlands, ancient stone walls and storybook villages, this path is the definition of English countryside charm. Every step is steeped in history and honey-hued stone, with adorable sheep dotting the fields and views that make you pause & smile at every mile.
The trail is part hike, part treasure hunt—with twists, turns, hidden markers, and quirky stone stiles that feel like puzzles to solve and gates that blend right into hedgerows. Each one felt like a level completed in a beautifully handcrafted game.
Yes, there were steep inclines and tricky descents, but the reward? Scones sliced in half, layered with jam and clotted cream—thick, rich, and indulgent. Crispy fish & chips for dinner hit the spot. And Cider. Absolutely perfect after an 11 mile day.
The weather was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We met some fine folks along the way, and ended each day at charming inns with great food and drink—including the best truffle goat cheese pizza we’ve ever had (though the 11 miles may have helped!).

We meant to train... but didn’t. 😅 Despite a few blisters, some knee pain, sore hamstrings, and the occasional shin splint, it was absolutely worth it.
We used Hillwalk Tours -- they made the experience seamless—they transported our luggage, booked our inns and breakfasts, and provided excellent maps, directions, suggested stops, and a helpful hiking app. All we had to do was carry a daypack and enjoy the journey. What a way to live for a week!

Great experience. They took care of everything from booking the B&Bs, the detailed trail notes, transferring my luggage each day, and any shuttles between the hikes, all I had to do was show up at the first location. The hike itself was beautiful. Definitely want to do this again.
This is our third Hillwalk hike, we love this company so much! This time we did Portugal's Fisherman's Trail. The accommodations were absolutely fantastic! The directions were perfect. Looking forward to booking hike #4!
