POSTED BY February 19, 2021

Nearly five years after creating the Walking Hiking Blog, we recently released our two-hundredth blog post. To celebrate, we thought it would be a good time to give an overview of the information that you can find on this blog about all things hiking.

We’ve written about many different hiking related topics on our blog over the years. These have be broken up into more categories over time in order to make searching for relevant topics easier. The first main categories relate to blog posts about the hiking trails that you can find in Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales and official Camino routes.

In these country specific categories, you will find blog posts on topics such as “Route Profiles”, “Trail Highlights”, “Best Time To Visit”, “Best Stages”, “Trail History”, “Towns Along The Trail” and much more.

Hiking in Ireland

In the “Hiking Ireland” blog category, we cover Irish national trails such as the Dingle Way, Beara Way, Kerry Way, Sheep’s Head Way and Burren Way all found along the Wild Atlantic west coast. We also cover more inland routes such as the Western Way through Connemara and the Wicklow Way through the Wicklow Mountains.

In addition, we also provide information on national trails in Northern Ireland such as the Moyle Way and the Causeway Coast Way. Finally, we cover pilgrim paths such as the Kerry Camino and St. Kevin’s Way.
