Claire is from the Alsace region in the east of France on the border with Germany, where she grew up bilingual. She studied and lived in England for a few years, and travelled for another few years in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Cambodia. During her trip, she saw many beautiful landscapes and rediscovered a love for the great outdoors and for hiking. After coming home to Europe, Claire settled down in Galway on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean and right on the doorstep of beautiful Connemara.
As a Region Specialist for Scotland, Claire looks after queries from colleagues and suppliers on tours in this region. She also books tours in all regions and helps French, German and English-speaking customers prepare for their trip on one of our fabulous itineraries. She enjoys reading and answering customer feedback, a rewarding task as she gets to hear how much our walkers enjoyed their tours.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her friends, painting, or reading and cuddling with Atticus the cat. When travelling, she likes to revisit places where she had been before or explore her adoptive home country, Ireland. A walk through the vibrant city of Galway is her usual weekend program, although she enjoys going up a mountain or two when she gets the chance.
